Cases we take
Falls and injuries on unsafe property
A fall is only a case when someone knew about the danger, or should have, and left it there.
We take cases for people hurt on stores' floors, at apartment complexes, in parking lots and on walks that an owner was responsible for keeping safe: ice that was never cleared, a broken step, a spill nobody cleaned up.
These cases turn on what the owner knew and when. We ask early for incident reports, cleaning logs, repair requests and camera footage, which many businesses keep only for a few weeks.

What we do
What happens on an unsafe property case
Mostly a question of evidence, gathered quickly.
- 01
The place itself
We photograph and measure the step, the walk or the floor, and note the lighting and any warning signs.
- 02
The owner's records
Incident reports, inspection and cleaning logs, earlier complaints and repair orders.
- 03
The people who saw it
Other customers, tenants and employees, found while they still remember the day.
- 04
Your injury
Your doctors' records and what the injury has kept you from doing since.
Questions
Unsafe property questions
The store manager filled out a report. Can I get a copy?
Ask for one before you leave, if you can. If they won't give it to you, we'll request it.
I fell at a friend's house. Do I have to sue my friend?
A claim like that is usually paid by the homeowner's insurance, not the friend. We can explain how that works before you decide anything.
Does it matter that I wasn't watching where I stepped?
It can reduce what you recover, but often doesn't end the claim. We'll tell you honestly how it affects yours.
